GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING
MRS KILONGA (HOD)
Our school has a myriad of students from all walks of life hailing from different social backgrounds and different belief systems. The Guidance and Counseling department has a daunting task of looking at the welfare of these students.
We are aware of the challenges that our students experience, psychologically, physiologically and emotionally. We strive to make students comfortable in their everyday learning in order to reduce stress, conflicts, bad peers and we encourage harmony and co-existence among students.
The goal of our department is to make sure that students gain and achieve the best in their life in the secondary course.
We liaise with other bodies and persons that deal with students welfare in the county and constituency
We also conduct one to one counseling for individual concerns and problems, especially for introverted students
Some of the areas we highlight in group counseling concern
Moral behaviour and confidence building
Careers choice and vocational dimension
Drugs and Substance abuse
Relationships and pre-marital guidance
Time management and creative thinking.
